The department enjoys excellent infrastructure with advanced state of the art laboratories for excellent academic environment. Our qualified, dedicated and experienced faculty members are constantly encouraged to enhance their knowledge and skills. They have recently published 15 papers in the national/international journals of eminence. The department admits 120 students in 1st year. Advanced courses like special electrical machines, power system operation and control, electric drives and VLSI design etc. are taught along with the basic subjects. Elaborate practical knowledge is imparted to the students in spacious laboratories. Our 300sq.M. Electrical machines lab is considered to be the best in the region. Two of our students have been ranked 3rd and 10th in AKTU merit lists

One of our final year students project titled “Sound Based Battery Charging System” was selected for Texas Instrument Innovation Challenge India Design Contest 2015 under TI University Program
